Increasing prices of deep-sea imported ferrous scrap in Turkey and billet in China’s domestic markets both has driven up global billet prices. Increased prices of imported ferrous scrap in Turkey result in upper billet prices.

According to the Metal Bulletin, billet has been traded at 3170 yuan (462 dollar) per tonne in Tangshan at the end of last week that is the highest level in 42 months.
